Precautions Before Your Surgery

  1. Please fast for 8 hours before your surgery (including gum/candy/drinks, water for 4 hours before the surgery)
  2. Please do not apply cosmetic products such as body lotion/cream/oil on the areas to be operated (Make-up is prohibited regardless of the area)
  3. Please remove all manicure/gel nails from thumb and toenails (We need to measure oxygen saturation)
  4. Please remove all valuables/accessories/piercings at home
  5. Please remove contact lenses during your surgery, you can wear them immediately after the surgery
  6. Please wear a comfortable outfit on the surgery day, and public transportations is recommended instead of driving
    • Upper body (arm, abdomen, back): comfortable long sleeve t-shirt
    • Lower body (thigh, calves): comfortable bottoms and shoes

Please inform the hospital in advance

If you have any medical history or genetic disease, allergies, current illness and medications (including Diabetes, Tuberculosis, Negative Fluid, High blood pressure, Other heart disease, Liver disease, Hepatitis, etc), please inform the hospital in advance

Medication

Please stop taking these medications one week prior to the surgery after asking your doctor if it is possible to stop taking them temporarily

  • Warfarin (Coumadin), Aspiring (Astrix), Omega 3 (Omarco), Clopidogrel (Plavix), Vitamin E

Surgery is possible for patients with high blood pressure /diabetes /thyroid disease if it is nor- mally controlled before the surgery

  • High Blood Pressure Medication: Please take a sip on the day of surgery
  • Diabetes Medication: Take only until the day before surgery
  • Thyroid Medication: Take only until the day before surgery

* Other medicines should only be taken until the day before surgery, not on the day of surgery

2. Progress Check

For every patient, Dr.An will have a follow-up progress check when it resembles 80-90% of the result we expected. After checking the skin condition whether surface of the fat cells is bumpy, if you are satisfied with the results, if there are any discomforts or concerns, and whether there is room for further improvement, we will provide help accordingly
